It's official -- all of the paperwork has been filed for me to run for re-election this November! Let's get to work!

Reconvened Session

This past Wednesday, all Delegates and Senators returned to Richmond for our annual Reconvened Session. This is often referred to as the "Veto Session" as it is the opportunity for the legislature to respond to the Governor's vetoes. However, we also discuss the Governor's amendments to bills and amendments to the budget. We have a lot to be proud of from this 2019 Session that has now officially come to a close. Here are some of the Governor's recommendations we agreed to:

  • Increase in school counselors for the 2020-2021 school year
  • Reinstate driver's licenses to 600,000 who lost them due solely to unpaid court costs and fees
  • Increase in the Public Housing Trust Fund
  • Include foster parents in paid parental leave
  • Designate funding for fixing the I-81 Corridor; which will free up nearly $30 million for I-64

New Maps
We will have new maps for the 2019 elections! As a result of a federal court case regarding racial gerrymandering, the 93rd District is one that was affected by the drawing of new lines. If you would like to check and see if your representatives change at all as a result of the new maps, you can find out here.
