New Laws Start Today!
July 1 is an exciting time in Virginia! Not only is it the beginning of our fiscal year, but it means that all of the laws passed during the Legislative Session officially go into effect! In Due Process is a great resource to get a good summary of what this means for each of us. I am pleased to see my bill, HB 1772 featured regarding the Virginia FOIA Council! I'm proud that -- as of today -- raises for teachers, more school counselors, funds to expand the rest of I-64, reinstating driver's licenses, and much more all become reality.
We've got some awesome students in Newport News -- thanks for letting me be a part of this special day!
As always, if I can ever be of help, please do not hesitate to reach out.

...calls for a silly selfie with the boys!
It was an honor to attend both Woodside's and Menchville's graduations!
The Supreme Court of the United States has officially ruled that the new maps will be in place for November's elections! If you would like to check and see if your representative changed as a result of the new maps, you can find out here.
Special Session on Gun Violence Prevention
Next week, on July 9, the Governor has called us back for a Special Session on Gun Safety. All 140 members of the General Assembly will return to Richmond to discuss this very important issue following last month's tragedy in Virginia Beach. If you would like to share your thoughts about the Special Session, please email us at DelMMullin@house.virginia.gov.
