Turn around!

Think you see flooding up ahead? Be safe and turn that car around!

Michael P. Mullin

Member, House of Delegates
District 93

Hurricane Florence

This afternoon, Governor Northam updated state and local officials on the status of Florence. As you may be aware, the Governor declared a State of Emergency this weekend in anticipation. The storm is Category 4 and landfall is likely to be in North Carolina, but could potentially hit Virginia Beach instead. Due to the current projections, Governor Northam will make a decision this evening regarding possible evacuations of those most vulnerable to potential flooding. To find if you live in one of the evacuation zones, look at this map. In the meantime, it is important to charge batteries, stock up on water and nonperishable food items, get cash out of the ATM, and gas up cars.

Community Covenant

Pastor Corwin of CBC World Ministry is truly a giant in our community. It was my honor to present him, and the congregation, with a resolution to honor and celebrate a year of a more inclusive and understanding community since the signing of the Historic Triangle Community Covenant on May 19, 2017. Thanks for all that you all do!

Redistricting Special Session

We went back to Richmond for redistricting, and unfortunately we were not able to come to an agreement on new maps for the racially gerrymandered districts. I am hopeful we will pass fair maps by our deadline of October 30th!

The Virginia Conservation Network hosted their annual conference in Williamsburg and I spoke about solar and other renewable energies!
