Newport News, VA - Today, Delegate Mike Mullin (D-Newport News) announced the support of the Virginia Police Benevolent Association for his 2019 campaign. The VPBA is a chapter of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, a non-profit member organization that provides legal, advocacy and other representation to more than 50,000 law enforcement officers at the local, state, and federal level.
Delegate Mullin, who serves as a criminal prosecutor in the City of Hampton, expressed his excitement about the endorsement. “In my courtroom, I handle cases involving domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault. In the legislature, I’ll continue working with partners like the VPBA to fight these crises in our community.”
Delegate Mullin serves the 93rd District which includes the City of Williamsburg and parts of Newport News, James City County, and York County. He has been a prosecutor for more than a decade and handled cases involving domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. During his time in the Legislature, Delegate Mullin passed “Heaven’s Law” to protect children from child abuse. He is a certified Gang Investigator.
